Classic Book Club Suggestions
Excellent book club suggestions come in all shapes and sizes, but these classic books never fail to disappoint. They are selected by the Modern Library as the "Best 100 Novels". About the ListThis list should be taken with a grain of salt, of course. Many people argue this list is skewed towards older works and modern literature is not well-represented. Another problem with the list is it includes very little diversity (most of the authors are white men), even though many of the greatest works of fiction have been penned by women and minorities. Regardless of its flaws, all these books are definitely excellent works of fiction and all make great book club suggestions. Many people also make it their goal to read all the books on this list during their lifetime. Book Club Suggestions: The Modern Library's Best 100 Novels 1. ULYSSES by James Joyce 2.
